Some day maybe I will find the right person to share such moment with..

I’m ecstatic to be able to take part in this especially for my concern with Anthony and his health. He seems always tired but particularly, his eating habits are rather messed up in my honest opinion. It’s my responsibility to fix that.

Anyway, I just remembered right now why my cooking skills are not quite up to par. I actually really wanted to take a Foods and Nutrition course in grade 11 but Tony Nguyen and friends were in that course as well. So I took that class for one day but could not bear to have them in the same class tormenting me once again as they had before when I was grade 9 drama class. Hence I dropped that class only to torment myself academically by taking Physics 11. Yeah, my GPA really hurt that year because of that decision to take 7 academic courses, particularly 3 sciences. O hell. No one and seriously no one I think went that crazy except me whom is also a bit educationally challenged. I feel like shit now. Anyway, I think they were going to be delving into topics like Anorexia and Bulimia as well and I know for sure they were going to pick on me about that so I knew right away I needed to boot my sorry ass out of that class.

As a result, I am not much of a cook. Life sucks ah?!

I’ve completed my Bachelors in French and now I simply await approval from the Ministry of Education (?).  How exciting is that?  Not really I guess as tons and tons of people get Bachelors every year from University.  So whatevs.  Nonetheless, I am done and what a relief that it’s over.  I don’t think I could take much more of school.  Spring 2010 was by far the most exhausting semester, from family problems to being nearly homeless…, moving to another home,  utter drama.  Thank God my brother helped me through some of this.  Thank God I have a boyfriend who supports me all the time, I mean really, ALL THE TIME.  He really is the most understanding, patient human being.  He puts up with a lot of my antics that most would not.  I can’t even entirely put up with me all the time.  I also have my mom to thank for all that food she cooks and buys for me.  It’s SOOOO GOOD.  It’s easily the best food ever.  Thank goodness for my car which my cousin gave to me for FREE last year.  It’s my baby, even though he gets sick all the time.  Life has been dramatic this last year of school.. which has made it stressful to the maximum.   Nevertheless, I pulled off stellar B averages in Spring 2010 and my final semester Summer 2010.  I’m so proud of myself.  I definitely wasn’t as focused in school prior to Quebec.  Well first I had to go on Academic Probation and fail a couple courses to realize what I had given up on.  Going away to Quebec changed me.  I came back, motivated, and definitely a lot stronger in French and that gave me the confidence and motivation to do better in school.  Going to Quebec was a great decision for my Academic career.  I also fell in love with Quebec. I need to go back and re-experience that love of a culture and a peoples.  People are awesome there, the food is even better.   MMmmmmm…  Things are cheap, education is cheap.  It’s paradise there for Francophones.  French culture FTW! 

So here I am.  Ready for a new beginning in my life to commence.  I really hope a job comes knocking on my door soon.  This bitch is broke @$$.

I still throw myself a good pity party rather often, but I’ve started feeling somewhat more hopeful again, which is good.  I could use all the confidence I can get.  I’m starting job hunting in the next week or so and I really need a goooood job.  You can’t party and have fun and socialize without moola anyway.  Shazam!

Just 3 more days til the end of this semester.  I pray pray pray that I pass everything… and when I say pass, I mean like a minimum of a C for one of my French courses.  I know that sounds like really low expectations.  But really, this particular French course has raped my life like no other.  It’s one of those courses where even if you’ve attended every class and participated, but when you get the practise exam questions, they make you go WTF?!  My teacher is a rapist, a full fledged academic mark dropping rapist.  Unfair, unreasonable, totally unhelpful.

One time I went into his office hours to ask him if one of my answers for the practise exam was right.  The evil mother fucker could only say that my answer was wrong but refused to tell me the right goddamn answer. I even started guessing other answers from what I remembered seeing in his stupid notes.  He said that I had to re-read the notes more carefully and surely that I would find all the bloody raping answers on the WEBCT notes.

BUDDY!!! I DID NOT JUST BUST MY ASS for 40 MINUTES TO SFU TO HAVE YOU TELL ME TO GO HOME AND REVIEW MY FUCKING NOTES.  YOU’RE A FUCKING SHITHEAD teacher.  I bloody made the effort to do your questions and I even took public transit just to see your ignorant face.

Secondly, read your goddamn emails.  I understand you have a life and other courses.  But dude, 2-3 days before the deadline of a paper or an exam, it’s expected that students will ask questions.  SO ANSWER YOUR BLOODY EMAILS PROMPTLY.  We don’t work on Jamaican hours.

dude, if you fail me and fail to graduate, i bloody hope you lose your goddamned job. i hate your teaching gutts.

First of all, I am a terrible gamer.  I have steep learning curves but bear with me.

With Age of Conan, firstly, when I started using the onscreen instructions manual, sometimes their instructions made absolutely no sense.  Like for example, when I wanted to use special combat combos, they would insert wordy explanations that would get me no where.  All I need is a one liner telling me which buttons to press. Same thing with defense.  If I want to defend myself, no where does it tell me that I need to be at a certain level before I can self-defend/block. 

The game was a bit laggy/glitchy during combat.  I’d find my character and its opponent frozen for a good 2 seconds while everything else in the background was moving.  Just the combat froze.  So I would have to wait a bit before I could resume fighting.

I understand the developers were trying to stay true to the novel’s depiction of women and their big breastesses, but I was rather disappointed that during character customization I couldn’t give myself a flat chest. Oh poo.

Other than horrible instructions, I really enjoyed the game actually.  I rather surprised myself because usually when I’m introduced  to a game, I’m very resistant and hesitant.  I clocked in about 3.5 hours and it was totally worth it.  I’m only up to level 7 however.  What I played was the demo and not the full version.  So perhaps the full version will do better justice.  I’ve yet to find out.  I’m unfamiliar with the MMO world, but I enjoy the fact that this game was a lot less intimidating than your standard FPS where you’re constantly hiding and shielding yourself from enemies.  My body is constantly tense.  With this game, it has its tense moments, but I find it totally relaxing and even a bit liberating after a hard day.  Like Mass Effect, you get to interact with certain characters in the game, and your story is affected by those decisions you make in your interaction with others.

If I had the money, it would definitely be a buy and a keeper.

Last week on Canada Day, I went out for lunch with Sandy Chu from high school and my old coworker Maria from Canadian Tire.  We went to the restaurant named, The Reef located on King Edward & Main St.  I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and while everyone else loved it, I sorta didn’t really.  I thought it tasted too “sloshy”.  I didn’t taste much meat.  But rather I was eating a lot of smooshed up bean sauce.  Ick.  That’s really all I did in terms of being social on that Canadian holiday.  Otherwise, I was stressing away about doing my Economic Geography presentation on Bohemians.  Does everyone know what a Bohemian is?  I sure didn’t.  But NOW I DO.  They’re the people you find on Commercial Drive.  Laid back, don’t have a job in the corporate world.  Kinda hippy-like.  Anyways, I think I did ok.  Then I also had a late Economics paper to complete.  1000 words.  Not much right?  Well, I hate econ.  I HATE ECON.  Anthony says it will be beneficial for me to learn about it so that his farm will prosper.  I say, I have a hard time understanding the material.  I just hate it.  I did my paper on why Biotechnology was prosperous in the core region of Canada (Toronto & Montreal).  Anyhow, I handed the damned paper in 2 days late and guess what?!  I got the paper back the following Tuesday and I got an A- ?!  My TA marked the paper.  Wow, she must be super generous because, A-?!  When did I ever do well on papers??? Like never?!  I always got B’s or C’s.  A-?!  I think she must’ve lowered her standards because apparently there were people who were not citing properly and were just making up their own ways of citing sources.  Wow.  There was also an instance where someone used quotes on their entire paper.  Dude, this is a second year course… But thanks for lowering your standards because I could’ve sworn, my paper stank.

Other than that… I applied at a temp agency and the Waldorf on Hastings (Yes I’m desperate).  Well if there’s any justification, I’ve been to the Waldorf with Anthony one year and it seems like a decent place actually.

Last weekend, I spent @ the Suttorps.  Anthony has a sweet Media PC in the living room.  He’s been playing the Arma2 Demo. He was downloading the Conan demo on Sunday when I last saw him.  Anthony loves strategy games.  He bought Rome Total War, which he’s been devoting his free time to.  It’s a crazy game.  Paul and I won’t play it.  heh..  Anthony will pwn our butts.  We know just not to touch.  Btw Crystal, Anthony has Steam.
